About Madrid

Madrid has been the capital of Spain since 1562.
It is located on the geographic center of the Iberian Peninsula. Because of its central location and high altitude, the climate of Madrid is characterized by hot summers and cool winters.

Madrid is a beautiful city, rich of history and culture. Among its highlights there are the historical center, dating back to the medieval times, and the Prado Museum.
